Tristan got baptized🌊
Hey hey hey! It was such a great week! So many good things:)
HIGHLIGHTS:
- TRISTAN'S BAPTISM: Tristan got baptized this week! It was the most insane week with so much drama leading up to the baptism but it happened which was such a miracle! Sweet Tristan was SO excited! So many of the ward members showed up to support and it was just so special! Tristan is the best little girl and I am so so grateful she decided to be baptized!
- RAY: Ray is on date for baptism! He is progressing SO well and his whole progression is just a miracle! He told us yesterday that Satan keeps working really hard on him but that he shares his testimony any time someone tries to pull him away. He has one of the strongest testimonies and is determined to not let anyone shake that! He is one of our best friends and even brought us dinner this week which was so sweet!
- ZONE CONFERENCE: We had zone conference this week and let me tell you, it was incredible! Definitely my favorite zone conference of my mission so far. We talked a lot about our divine potential which I'll talk more about in my spiritual thought. We also had a great training on listening and responding which was really good for me! Sister Sanders and I and the zone leaders put together a really awesome zone breakout focused on reminding the missionaries of their "why?". The spirit truly took over in the breakout and it was a really powerful experience for our zone! Sister Sanders and I also won a clean car award for the second time in a row!
- INTERVIEWS: We had interviews with President Pulsipher this week and they were so good! He talked to me about a lot of his ideas for the mission and for transfers and it was just a really good interview that made me really excited for what's to come in the mission! President and Sister Pulsipher also took us out to lunch and it was so much fun! I just love them so much!
- CAROL: We had a miracle this week! We received a media referral named Carol and texted her right away but didn't get a response. We tried to stop by and met someone else who said to come by another time. Came another time and they had just sat down for dinner. Finally went again yesterday and got to sit down and talk to Carol! She's amazing! She is an older lady who has been Catholic her whole life and recently has felt like she needed a change. She is all about trying out our church and is really excited to learn more! I am constantly amazed at how the Lord never stops preparing people! Keep Carol in your prayers!
- EXCHANGES: I got to go on two exchanges this week! One with Sister Schank and one with Hermana Wolfley, both sisters I came into the mission with which is so fun! On both exchanges we saw so many miracles! There's something special about bringing a new energy into an area for the night that always brings miracles! I love love love getting to work with so many great sisters and learn so much from them!
LOWLIGHTS:
- SAD CHOICES: Unfortunately this week we found out that a family of recent converts in our ward have decided to go back to their previous church and remove their records. Finding this out was heartbreaking. They are such an amazing family and are leaving simply because they don't feel they can live the lifestyle. They need all the prayers they can get!
SPIRITUAL THOUGHT:
Okay so like I said earlier zone conference was really focused on our divine potential. President showed us a clip from a short film called the Butterfly Circus. Everyone needs to go watch this asap. It's on YouTube and only about 25 minutes long. It's about a man named Will who was born with no legs and no arms. Will goes through a lot and never feels as though he's worth anything, until he meets Mendez who is the leader of this circus. Mendez shows Will that no matter who you are or what you've gone through, you are special and always have something to offer to the world. I have really come to understand this on my mission. Every single person I meet is such a light no matter what they've gone through! I won't say much more because I don't wanna spoil it but if you watch it please please email me! I wanna hear your thoughts!
I love you all and I am so grateful for your constant support! Have an amazing week!
-Sister Stringham
