Valentines in Seattle

Hello hello! It was another great week in the WVM! I can't believe how fast time flies! I love it here!

HIGHLIGHTS:
  • VALENTINE'S DAY: Valentine's day was so fun! We got to spend most of our day in Seattle at the temple and it was amazing! We got to do sealings and intiatories and we were able to seal 30 daughters to their parents. There is definitely no better way to spend valentine's day than to be sealing families together for eternity! Also super cool, our sealer was the first mission president in the layton mission, helped set the boundaries for the WVM and he served his mission in German so he was actually able to pronounce all of the German names we had! So many small little tender mercies on this temple trip. After, we got to stop at Deseret Book which is such a treat because there is none nearby and we went to Uwajimaya which is a cute little Asian market in Seattle and it was SO FUN! So many fun and unique snacks and we had a lot of fun! Brother and Sister Price took us and it was so special!
  • EXCHANGES: We went on two exchanges this week! I got to be with Hermana Harris on Tuesday and Sister Davies on Saturday and both were so fun! We had so many fun contacts and events and both were very good learning experiences too!
  • LENNON: We met a really cool guy named Lennon this week. We were stopping by a returning member to set up a time with her and she wasn't there but her best friend's son was and he was so interested in the gospel! He said he had met the elders before and they had gotten him really interested but he just never had a chance to learn more. We ended up giving him a Book of Mormon and setting up another time with him and it was such a miracle!
  • AMELIA: Amelia is doing SO GOOD! This week we got her baptism all planned out and she is getting baptized this coming Saturday! It has been so fun to see her get so excited about her baptism! She is such a light and we could not be more excited for her.
  • DAVID: Our friend David is doing really good! He definitely isn't completely sure about the gospel but is 100% willing to keep learning and experimenting. We have been able to truly develop a friendship with him and he is just awesome. He gave us some super yummy sourdough cookies this week. Keep praying for him!

SPIRITUAL THOUGHT:
This week I have been reading a lot of conference talks. One that I really loved is "Spiritual Capacity" by Michelle Craig. In it she says "He can use your ordinary skills to accomplish His extraordinary work". Sometimes we feel like we don't have the right skills and abilities to increase God's work but no matter where we are at in our abilities, God is able to use us in His work. Whatever part of God's work you are doing, He is ready and eager to use who you are to keep His work moving along. So let Him! He knows you and your capabilities and He loves you!

I hope you all have an amazing week and keep seeing miracles! I know I am terrible at replying, but I truly do love when you all write me! It means the world! Love you all!
