Watch out, Sarah bites!
Hello hello hello! Just another week down here in Washington! It's still so beautiful and missionary work is great!
HIGHLIGHTS:
- TIM AND LISA! Tim and Lisa are doing good! We haven't had a lesson with them for a while because they lowkey tried to ghost us but they're doing good now! After lots of people reached out, we finally got in contact and they are doing so much better. They were reminded of the blessings of the gospel and why it's so important! They are so excited to keep learning and growing and we love them so much!
- FALL COLORS! The fall colors here in Washington are BEAUTIFUL! It's still so green, but the trees that do change are so pretty! The reddest reds ever, it's so pretty!
- WAGNER FAMILY! We had dinner with the Wagner family and they are my absolute favorite! They have the cutest little girls I've ever seen and they are just so much fun! They made us the cutest boo baskets and it made our whole week! We love them a lot!
- PRIMARY PROGRAM! This week was the primary program and I LOVE the primary program! Genuinely the second best Sunday besides general conference. We actually have a really big primary so it was so fun to get to see and hear them!
- NEW DISTRICT/ZONE! This week has been so fun to get to know our new zone and district! One of our zone leaders is now our district leader too and it's such a blast! I'm sure he's stressed because that's a lot but he's awesome so it's really fun!!!
LOWLIGHTS:
- RAINY SEASON: We have officially entered rainy season here in Washington. It's dark by 6:30 and it rains all day long. The rain doesn't bother me, but the heavy gloomy clouds are the worst. It's genuinely just dark all the time and grey and gloomy. I'm really going to appreciate my vitamin d gummies in a couple months!
- GOODBYES: Because this week was transfers it was a lot of goodbyes! 5 missionaries from our zone went home and half our zone got white washed! So lots of new missionaries in the zone to get to know and lots of missionaries in the zone that left.
- SARAH: This week we got bit by a dog. And her name was Sarah. She was only a little chihuahua but it hurt! She bit me and sister jacobson and we both were so surprised it hurt so bad!
SPIRITUAL THOUGHT:
This week I read Elder Andersen's talk from this last general conference. In it he says "Yet that is precisely the joy the Savior offers. His joy is constant, assuring us that our ‘afflictions shall be but a small moment’" I know this is true! Sometimes, we don't feel genuinely happy, but we can always find joy through the Savior! He never wants us to be upset so He sets a way for us to always find joy!
I hope you all have an amazing week wherever you are! You're all amazing and I love you all so much!
