onto transfer 11

Hey hey heyyy! How is everybody doing? We're back for another weekly! The weeks are flying by right now it's crazy!

HIGHLIGHTS:
  • WE BELIEVE DEVOTIONAL: Yesterday we had the We Believe in Jesus Christ devotional. This is a devotional where recent converts throughout the stake get up and share their testimonies and let me tell you, it was so powerful. As a member who was born into the church, I have a totally different perspective than these recent converts and so it is really cool to hear their thoughts and feelings. We also got to hear from President and Sister Pulsipher and our stake president President Schmit. It was one of the greatest meetings I have been to on my mission. Afterwards all the missionaries in the zone watched our mission's Sunday night devotional together with President and the assistants so that was super fun too.
  • RAY + THE PRIESTHOOD: Ray got the priesthood! And spoke at the devotional! He is just the greatest!
  • SERVICE: We had so so so much service this week it was crazy. Doing yard work and picking up groceries and cleaning out a hoarder's house, it has just been insane. It has been amazing though! I love getting to serve! It is such a source of true joy.
  • MOUNT ST HELENS: Last week we had the awesome opportunity to hike at Mount St Helen's with our stake President and mission presidency. I feel so blessed to live in such a beautiful place and I loved being out in nature for pday!
  • TRANSFERS: We got transfer news last night and I'm so excited! I will be staying here in Lake Sac and training a new sister training leader! I will most likely end my mission here and I am super excited about that! It's an amazing ward and such a great area!
LOWLIGHTS:
  • TRANSFERS: Even though transfers are so exciting they're also so sad! So many of my best friends are getting transferred and the zone is changing a lot! So many sad goodbyes will happen today but I'm also excited for the change!

SPIRITUAL THOUGHT:
This week in district council, a sister shared a scripture that has stuck with me all week. It's Romans 1:16:

"16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek."

We have no reason to be ashamed of the gospel. For me, the gospel is the rock of my life and has brought me so much joy so why would I not want to share it! There are so many ways and so many opportunities to share, so when those opportunities present themselves, don't be ashamed!

I love you all and hope you have the most amazing week!
