rats galore...
Hey hey hey! How are yall doing? Hopefully things are great wherever you are! This week was so awesome!
HIGHLIGHTS
- EXCHANGES: We had 3 exchanges this week which was so wild and exhausting but so much fun! I got to spend a day with Sister Jensen who is a brand new missionary from Farmington! She's adorable and such an amazing missionary! We had a ton of fun! A sales bro gave us a referral that day and we ended up giving her a book of mormon so that was awesome! Then I got to go on a spanish exchange with Hermana Wolfley who is from Lehi! She came out with me and we haven't served around each other until now so this was SO FUN! We got to teach English class which was such a highlight of my week. Spanish people are so kind, I love it! And then I got to go with Sister Bernier again and it was wild. Had some pretty scary experiences but we made it out okay:)
- EMLC: We had EMLC this week and I loved it. We had so many good discussions and I learned a lot. I also am just always so excited to see my friends!
- CUTE OLD LADIES: There are so many sweet old ladies in our ward who love the missionaries. We did some stop bys with them this week and it just makes me so happy to be with them! One of them said "Oh my girls came to see grandma!" It was so precious.
- BAPTISM: We got to attend Shawna's baptism yesterday! It was such a blessing to be there! She was so so happy to be baptized! I talked to her after and asked how she felt and she said "I just feel so much better than before!" Baptism is such a blessing and seeing people change is so amazing! I love being a missionary!
- TRISTAN: We had an AMAZING lesson with Tristan this week! We had a lesson with her and her mom at a members home and it went so well! She became best friends with the kids which was the whole point of being there! She is progressing so well and will hopefully have a baptismal date soon!!!
- STAKE YOUTH ACTIVITY: We got asked to help set up at a stake youth activity this week! We got to set up balloons and games and help be traffic control while the elders cooked burgers and hotdogs. So many people were so excited to see us and it was so special to see so many youth gathered together! There were nearly 120 youth there!
LOWLIGHTS
- RATS GALORE: This week we caught 2 more rats in our apartment...we have officially beat the mission record. We have now caught 5 rats and it's actually disgusting. Luckily we found out they are closing our apartment next transfer so we won't be there anymore! Hallelujah!
SPIRITUAL THOUGHT:
Today my spiritual thought comes from a talk titled "The Atonement: Our Greatest Hope" by James E. Faust. In this talk, he says, "The nature of the Atonement and its effects is so infinite, so unfathomable, and so profound that it lies beyond the knowledge and comprehension of mortal man." The Atonement holds so much power in our lives! I am so grateful for a knowledge of the Atonement and for the blessing it is in my life! I love Jesus Christ and all that He did for me!
Love you all! Have an amazing week!
