ground is broken

Hey hey heyyyy! This week was so awesome so let's get into it!

HIGHLIGHTS:
  • GROUNDBREAKING: The Vancouver temple had its groundbreaking this week and we were able to watch the livestream of it. We got to watch it with our friend Joanna and her fellowshipper Dawn! It was so much fun! This temple is going to seriously be such a blessing to the people here!
  • RAY: RAY CAME TO CHURCH EVERYONE! MIRACLES ARE REAL! And guess what else?! He LOVED it! Literally the most awesome sauce day ever. After church, a member invited us all over for lunch and he loved that so much too. The ward is welcoming him so well and I feel so blessed to watch it happen. He is progressing very well and is looking towards a baptismal date soon!
  • HOUSE OF THE LORD: This month was a temple month so we were able to go this week! It was so so good and I just love the temple so much! While we were there, we saw some members from previous wards and that was so happy for me. Also, awesome little tender mercy, the endowment session had the ASL interpretation and I loved being able to see that. Another major plus, we got chick-fil-a after and I hadn't had it for a year! Sooooo yummmmm
  • MLC: We had MLC this week and it was probably the best MLC I've ever been to. Everyone was so involved and we came up with some really amazing plans for the mission. I'm excited to see what changes will be made! After MLC we had lunch with the 2nd transfer missionaries and their companions and I got to see my bestie Sister Blinzinger who is also from Layton and I literally never see her! Plus all my friends in MLC! What more could I ask for?!
LOWLIGHTS:
  • HOTTEST WEEK EVER: This week wins for the hottest week of my mission. From Thursday forward is has been 90⁰ or hotter everyday and let me tell you, knocking doors in that heat is not fun at all. But we're pushing through and making the most out of it!
SPIRITUAL THOUGHT:
This week we were blessed to go to the stake's addiction recovery class and it was amazing! That program is incredible! It takes the Atonement of Jesus Christ and helps people use that through their addictions. Being in that class helped me to even further understand how personal the Atonement is for each and every one of us. We all have very different struggles, but the Atonement applies to every single one. I know that He suffered for me and He suffered for you and He is there with us always.

I love you all and love hearing from you even if I don't respond! Have an amazing week!
