one last time with p mann
Hello my friends! I hope you all are doing well! Email me and tell me about life! I would love to hear from you!
HIGHLIGHTS:
- MIRACLES: We have seen SO many miracles! I wanted to share with you all the miracle of our friend Ranae! Ranae is a brand new friend that we met last Monday night. We were knocking an apartment complex and people were kind but we weren't really having any good conversations. No one was super open to talking. We knocked on this one door and Ranae came out. Immediately she was like I'm actually looking for a home church and I'm looking for a strong community of women. So of course we were like oh we've got the place for you! She said she was busy but asked if she could schedule an appointment with us! This never happens! We scheduled one that unfortunately fell through but we rescheduled for this week! Prayers for Ranae!!!
- INTERVIEWS PT 2: We had Ridgefield interviews this week and it was so fun. I love interviews days because we get to see every missionary in the zone. We did a fun training to help the missionaries improve some of their skills and it was really awesome! I get to serve around the most amazing missionaries! I feel so blessed!
- PDAY: We have had so many fun days recently! Last pday we played water balloon volleyball with the ridgefield zone and the most beautiful park. And today we're playing kickball and ultimate frisbee with the van north zone and it's so beautiful outside. I love my mission friends and I especially love being outside in Washington because it's so beautiful!
- FATHER'S DAY: Father's day was so great! I got to call my dad which is always the best! Shootout dad you're the best! And we got to have dinner with a member of the bishopric and his family and it was so much fun to talk about memories with our dads!!
LOWLIGHTS:
- BYE BYE MANNS: This week was my last time seeing President and Sister Mann before they leave. It's so sad that they're leaving! They are some of the greatest people I've ever met and I am so so blessed! They leave next week and I will miss them so much! I got to have them both sign my transfer journals, I got to take a picture with them, and I even got a hug from President! They are definitely part of the reason I was called here and saying goodbye was super sad!
- HARD DAYS: Missionary work is hard! There were a few days this week that Sister Wood and I both struggled to want to keep working. It felt like nothing was going right and so it was hard to find motivation. But as we focused on the small little things, we were able to find so much more joy!
SPIRITUAL THOUGHT:
This week I have come to appreciate the small joys of life like I just mentioned. There are so many things that try to take our attention, but as I focused on how beautiful the trees were or the nice lady who said hi on the street, I was able to see God so much clearer in my life. I invite you all to pay attention to the little things and notice how your perspective could change!
I love you all so much and I'm super thankful for you all! Have a great week!
-Sister Stringham
