you, road, car, roadkill
What is up everyone? Hope you all are doing well! Washington is the best and I'm loving missionary life! I would love to hear from you all so please email me!
HIGHLIGHTS
- EMLC: We had EMLC this week and it was so much fun! I got to see all of my best friends and it made me so happy! I love the missionaries that I get to serve with! They are the greatest people I've ever met and I have made some lifelong best friends out here. I feel so blessed to know so many amazing people. Nothing compares to the WVM!
- EXCHANGES: I got to go on exchanges with Sister Jenkins this week! She is SO FUN! She is one of the most positive people I've met and we just had a blast together! It also was the most beautiful day ever! It was 75⁰ and so sunny so I was super happy!
- TAMI: Tami is the BEST! Yesterday she got her temple recommend and was recognized into the ward and she was so happy! We have been talking about the temple and set a day to go do baptisms with her! She is so excited! We also showed up to our lesson with matching outfits which was so cutie.
- OLD FRIENDS: My fav Abbi Harris came to visit this week! I was so so happy to see her! She served here a couple months ago and had to go home for some health problems but being back with her was the best!
- NEW FRIENDS: We have some new friends this week! We had an amazing on the spot lesson with a formerly taught person named Anacia. She had so many questions and the spirit was so strong. She is starting to recognize the need for the gospel and is super excited to learn more. We also taught our new friend Crystal this week. They haven't introduced church into their family because they're very afraid of choosing the wrong church. We taught her about the Restoration and how Joseph Smith had the same concern. She was really excited about the Book of Mormon and we are really excited to help her family! We also met a really funny kid named Kyle. This 10 year old red-head who loves Legos and his cat Meow Meow. He started chatting it up with us while we were at the apartment complex and it was awesome.
- CAMERON: We had a lesson with our recent convert Cameron this week and played soccer with him. We were winning and I was doing really good so he looked at me and said "you, road, car, roadkill" cuz he reallyyyy wanted to win. Super funny haha!
- TIME FLYS: This week I have realized how fast time is flying on my mission. I still feel like I just started and I now have less than 8 months left. I don't want to waste any second so we've really been working on embracing every second! I wish time would slow down, I never want to go home!
SPIRITUAL THOUGHT:
My spiritual thought today is about patriarchal blessings! I took some time this week and read my blessing a couple times and wow God truly knows us each SO WELL! Reading my blessings proved that to me so many times. He knows us, our needs, our strengths, and our weaknesses and wants to help us become our best!
Hope you have the best week ever! Love you all loads!
