I made a deer throw up...

HIGHLIGHTS:

• SISTER'S CONFERENCE: We had a sister's conference this week which we have never done before! It was so fun! I loved seeing all my besties! I hadn't seen some friends for 7 months so it was just the best reunion ever! It also was just a really great conference. We talked a lot about divine identity and worth as well as some women in the scriptures and some other doctrinal questions sisters had. It was really really good and the spirit was really strong! I love the sisters in this mission! 
• 10 MONTHS: I hit 10 MONTHS! Actually the most insane thing ever. I still feel like a brand new missionary but time is just flying by! I can't wait to see what these next 7 months have in store for me! 
• EXCHANGES: I got to go on two exchanges this week! I spent a day with Sister Blinzinger who is from Layton and was on Northridge drill team! It was really fun to talk about drill and the people that we both know! She's also an amazing missionary! She is only in her 2nd transfer but is a very talented missionary. I also spent a day with Hermana Patten in Spanish work. I was so completely lost the whole time but she is so funny and I just loved being with her. 
• NEW FRIEND: We met a really awesome new friend named Amy this week! She wasn't super interested in talking to us at all but after talking about her dogs for 15 minutes she was willing to talk! She has a really hard time with there only being heaven and hell so we taught her about the 3 kingdoms and she loved it! We are meeting with her again tomorrow so pray for her!
• TIENDA: There is this cute little Tienda on main street in Elma that I have wanted to go to forever and this week we finally did! It was SO fun! We got some fun snacks and it was just awesome. 
• FUN STORY: The deer here let you get sooo close to them. We were walking around on Monday and there were 4 deer just chilling. We walked up and started taking pictures of them. As we walked away I was saying how cute they were and one of them spit something and so we joked that I made him throw up and it was super funny. 

LOWLIGHTS:

• NO CAR: On Saturday night our car decided to break down. So we ended up getting a member to pick us up and hang out for 2 hours and then took us to where our car was for it to get towed at 9:30 pm. So we don't have a car! Yesterday we got a ride to and from church and then just walked the whole town. And today we're stuck inside and we will be walking the town again tonight! Luckily we will be getting a car tomorrow so that is exciting! 

SPIRITUAL THOUGHT:

This week I was studying in Ether and I just LOVE the book of Ether! I was reading in chapter 1 and something really stuck out to me. In this chapter the brother of Jared does a lot of praying. It says over and over "the brother of Jared did cry unto the Lord" and every single time it says this, it keeps going with "and the Lord had compassion". Christ never wants to leave us alone or leave our prayers unanswered. I know that every time we turn to Him and cry unto Him, He will have compassion on us and He will love us!
