snow?!❄️
Hello hello! I hope you all are doing well! I would love to hear from you so please write me! This week was crazy!
HIGHLIGHTS:
- ZONE CONFERENCE: We had zone conference this week and it was so good! It was so much fun to see so many of my friends and it was such a spiritually uplifting zone conference. We talked about faith, covenants, the power of prayer, and being present in the moment. We also had a big training from Sister Julie Hillyard about asking questions and being empathetic as a missionary! I learned SO MUCH from this. She gave us a lot of information all at once but as I've taken time to review my notes and look over the things I can do, I have felt super motivated to go out and work! Being a missionary is honestly the greatest thing in the world.
- EXCHANGES: I got to go on an exchange with Sister Hall this week and she is just so good! She is in her third transfer and it feels like she's served a whole mission already. She is such a natural in missionary work and I learned so much from her. We saw so many miracles! We gave out two Book of Mormons and got so many phone numbers this day! It was so amazing!
- BRAD: We stopped by Brad this week and he is having a really hard time! He just lost his son and is just super stressed with everything. While we were talking, I decided to ask if he needed a blessing and he immediately accepted it. We called the elders and they dropped what they were doing and came to help! It was so powerful and the spirit was so strong! It was crazy! It reminded me that God truly knows and loves everyone no matter if we are a member or not.
- DAVID DARLING: We have a new friend named David! He is super cool and when my companions met him he said that he feels something spiritual changing in his life and he knows we can help him! We have our first real lesson with him tonight so definitely keep him in your prayers!
LOWLIGHTS:
- SNOW: It snowed like 3 inches yesterday and people in Washington do not know how to act when it snows. So instead of just going out and doing normal things, everything gets shut down, including church! They canceled church and it was so sad! And they canceled our youth missionary fireside! We were stuck inside for most of the day and it was hard! I got flashbacks to my first transfer when I was inside for 3 weeks and it was so tough! All day I just wanted to work! I was very grateful for the hour or two we got to work though.
SPIRITUAL THOUGHT:
At zone conference, one of our assistants gave a training about being in the moment. It was so good. He talked about President Nelson's quote "I pray that you will not miss the majesty of this moment". Sometimes I feel myself getting caught up in the past or what's happening next, but as I have been able to try to better live in the moment, I have found even more joy and seen so many more of the miracles that happen in my life! I invite you all to find ways to be in the moment and recognize the joy that comes from the now!
Love you all! Miss you all! Keep killing it wherever you are! You all are amazing! Have an amazing week!
