Hit on & Humbled

Hey hey hey!!! how is everyone?? I hope you're all doing good! it was another good week in WA! it's getting cold but I love it here!

HIGHLIGHTS
  • NEW FRIENDS: we have met so many new friends this week! we were able to teach so many lessons which we don't do a ton of here so it was amazing! we have some really amazing friends that have so much potential and that we are so excited about! keep Megan, Steve, Rob, Andrey, Floyd, and Vickie in your prayers! we feel so blessed to have the opportunity to teach them and we are excited to help them progress!
  • ZONE BREAKFAST: This week we had a zone breakfast at a member of the stake presidency's house and it was SO FUN! I have the greatest friends in my zone and it was so much fun to have another excuse to get together. plus we had the most amazing food and the best discussion and I just love being around other missionaries! it's the best!
  • MIRACLE: This week we had a really hard day where we just did not want to work. nothing was working out and it was super cold and rainy and it just was not fun. but as we do as missionaries, we went out anyways. and we knocked forever. no one wanted to talk and we both were feeling pretty frustrated. then we knocked this door and the COOLEST guy answered. we had an amazing discussion about how he wants to have a family built on Christ and we shared Helaman 5:12 with him. after we explained more about the Book of Mormon, he asked where he could get one! he was so excited to get a copy and was so excited to read it! we will see him again this week and he's just awesome! it was the biggest miracle and showed us that the Lord really is aware and He knows where we need to be and when we need to be there!

LOWLIGHTS
  • SO MUCH KNOCKING: This week was FULL of knocking doors. I really enjoy knocking doors but after a while, it's genuinely just exhausting. and sometimes it's really hard to have faith that you will find someone, especially when it's cold, rainy, and dark at 4:30. it's definitely pushing me but I'm learning a lot! every once in a while there's funny interactions, like this 16 year old who hit on us, hence the title. we invited him to church and talked for a while and then he was like "well how old are you guys?" we said we were 19 and he goes "oh dang it!" it was hilarious and really made us laugh.

SPIRITUAL THOUGHT:
this week we learned the hard way that the Lord's will is not my own. He has a plan and a way for everything to work and it is definitely not the same way I want things to work. and that can be really hard to accept! but I learned that if we are able to turn to Him and rely on Him, things will work out how they are supposed to! so trust Him! I promise He knows what He's doing even when it doesn't feel like it!!!

please reach out, I won't always respond but I do always appreciate it! I'm so thankful for you all and your support!! love you all!
