Pitbull in Ridgefield???🤯
Hello hello friends! Another week down in Washington! This week was crazy busy but super good!!!
HIGHLIGHTS:
- ZONE CONFERENCE! This week was zone conference week! They did it the same way as last time so it was 3 days long! We did 2 days on zoom and 1 day in person! I LOVE zone conference! I got to see all of my besties! I'm so grateful for the friendships I've been able to make already! It's always so exciting to get to spend time with them! It's also AMAZING to get to hear from President Mann and the assistants. They are the best! I learn so much from them and this conference especially was so good! We got to watch 2 days on zoom with our district and it was a blast. We learned a lot and had a lot of fun being together for so much time.
- 2ND TRANSFER MEETING! This week we also had our big 2nd transfer missionary meeting! We all got to meet together to learn more skills of being an effective teacher. We did a lot of role plays to practice the skills we learned and watched a lot of role plays from the assistants! I also learned sooo much from this! I'm so excited to start applying everything I've learned! And I got to be with some of my best friends again this day! It was a blast!
- TIM & LISA! Tim and Lisa are doing SO WELL! Thanks to everyone who has been keeping them in their prayers! They both were able to come to FHE last Monday, we had a lesson on Thursday, and they BOTH made it to church on Sunday!!! At FHE, Lisa told the whole big group of members that she knows this is the truth and she wants to be baptized! It was so cool and we were beyond happy for her!!! She also expressed that same desire to us on Thursday at our lesson! We taught them the Plan of Salvation and they loved it! It was so cool to see them feeling the spirit so strong! And they felt the spirit even stronger at church on Sunday! During sacrament meeting they both started crying and Lisa told us after that she is so impressed with peoples testimonies and loves being at church! It was amazing! Keep praying that we can get them baptized soon!
- WARD! Our ward is absolutely amazing! The members are constantly checking in on us to see how we are doing and alway want to help us progress the work forward! I am so thankful for them and their excitement for the work! We had a member meal yesterday which is always just the best and had a ward potluck on Saturday night! It was so fun! The ward is still brand new so they don't do a lot of ward activities but when they do they are so much fun and so many people come! We loved being with the members and eating such yummy food!
- PARKS! Our new favorite thing to do is park finding. And let me tell you the parks in Washington are amazing! They are BEAUTIFUL! The other day we went to the park and met some cool guys! They would only let us tell them about the Book of Mormon if we played Frisbee with them. So they taught us how to throw a Frisbee correctly and then we got to talk to them. Unfortunately they weren't super interested but it was super fun anyways! Everyone needs to come to a park in Washington at some point in their life, it's seriously magical!
LOWLIGHTS:
- PITBULL??? The other day we were just walking around an apartment complex and started talking to this lady. She was in a rush to a concert so we clearly asked who she was seeing and she said Pitbull! Pitbull came to Ridgefield for a concert! I had never heard of Ridgefield before I came here so I was shocked to hear that he was doing a concert here. And then I got really sad I couldn't go. Anywayssss super cool that he was here.
SPIRITUAL THOUGHT:
This week in sacrament meeting, one of the speakers was talking about Elder Kearon's talk from this last general conference. I would invite you all to read it, it's so good! My favorite thing he says in it is that "God is in relentless pursuit of you!" I love this! God is constantly finding us and helping us to come closer to Him. He knows what we need and how to best reach us. He also is never going to give up on us. He loves each and every one of us so much and wants us to be close to Him! Sometimes, it might feel like He's distancing Himself or letting us go a little bit, but I promise you He will never do that. He is right with us in everything we do!
I hope this next week is amazing for everyone! I hope you all get a chance to watch General Conference and I would love to hear from you about your favorite talks! I love you all!!!
