Knock til you drop

What's up everyone? I hope you all had an amazing week! This week was super fun!!!

HIGHLIGHTS
  • NEW ASSIGNMENT ORIENTATION: This week we had new assignment orientation! I got to go for a second time since I'm a trainer now! I was able to learn so much and it was so fun to be around so many missionaries all day long! I got to see my bestie Sister Larsen which was SO happy! I literally miss her so much! We also got to learn from President Mann which is always such a good time. He is so intelligent and so in tune with the Spirit! He always says the most profound things and he's basically just amazing! I love him so much and feel so grateful to have him as my mission president. It was so fun to go on a bit of a drive with the other sisters to get there and we jammed to some Forrest Frank the whole way there and back! It was a blast! Such a good day!
  • EXCHANGES: We got to have exchanges this week! And I got to go back go Walnut Grove for a day with Sister Page! She's also a brand new missionary and she is amazing. We learned so much from each other and got along so well! I really hope we get to be companions one day! While we were in Walnut Grove we somehow ran into the Gabler Girls and the Pedersen's and it was SO happy to see them! We did a lot of knocking and talked to a lot of cool people!
  • BEAUTIFUL WA: I'm convinced Washington is the most beautiful state ever! It is SO green! And the sunsets here are amazing! Half of my photo gallery is sunset pictures haha! We also have been so blessed to have beautiful weather still which has been so nice! It's amazing here!
  • MIRACLES: Our new district is amazing! Every night we send in our miracles from the day and it's amazing to be able to reflect on the day and see the small miracles throughout the week! It's so cool to see the Lord so clearly even in the smallest details.
  • FHE: In our ward they put on a FHE every Monday night that a small group of people come to! Last Monday, Tim was able to come with his wife Lisa and they both LOVED it! They were the last ones to leave because they just wanted to stay and make friends all night! They participated in the whole lesson and asked so many good questions! We love them both so much and are so excited to see them progress!

LOWLIGHTS
  • FRIENDS: This week was kind of a struggle with our friends. We haven't seen Tim and Lisa since last Monday but that's okay! We will see them again tonight! We also found an awesome friend and then 2 days later she said she wouldn't want us coming over! It's definitely a hard mission to find friends but we are doing our best! Keep saying prayers that we can find those who are ready for the gospel!

SPIRITUAL THOUGHT
Last night we went to our Relief Society President's house to talk with her and her husband about the ward and after we chatted her husband asked us why we think we needed to be white washing and why I needed to be a trainer so quickly. I didn't really know what to say haha I was like well I don't know I guess God trusts us. And he told us that God knows who is in this area and He knows who they need. He said that God knows that we needed to be here in this place at this time together to best reach people. And I think this can be true for everyone. You'll be in situations throughout your life where you feel overwhelmed and constantly ask "why?", but God knows what He's doing. He knows what we need and He knows what others need and He will make things happen that way. So always remember that God knows what He's doing. It's never a mystery to God even when it can be a mystery to us.

I hope all is well at home! I'm constantly praying for you all and love to hear from you! Have an amazing week! Love ya!!!
-Sister Stringham
