What the forbidden fruit?!

Hello hello! Welcome back to the weekly emails! This week was crazy! I made it to Provo on Wednesday and I am having a blast!

HIGHLIGHTS:
  • MY ROOMIES! my comp and the other two sisters in my district are literally already my favorite humans! We do absolutely everything together and they are my best friends! Meeting them was one of the weirdest moments of my life. We had never met but I loved them so much! We immediately clicked and are seriously already so close with each other! I am feeling so grateful to have the best sisters ever in my district! This would be a whole lot harder if I didn't have them!
  • MY DISTRICT! I seriously have the FUNNIEST district ever! When I'm with them I am always laughing so hard. Honestly, day 1 all of us sisters felt like the boys were avoiding us but no worries, day 2 we hung out all day long and became besties! All the elders have started saying "what the forbidden fruit?" instead of "what the heck" to everything and it is so funny! We are all feeling this way about our lives right now because we don't feel like this is actually happening!
  • CHARACTER OF CHRIST DEVOTIONAL! This devotional happened on night one and it was AMAZING! It was exactly what I needed to hear and I loved all of it! I'll talk more about this in my spiritual thought!
  • THE TEMPLE! Yesterday we got to go to the Payson temple and do initiatories and baptisms! I love the temple and it was amazing to be there! The bus ride was so fun and I think I laughed the entire 30 minutes because my district is just hilarious!
LOWLIGHTS:
  • GOODBYES! saying goodbye to my best friends and my family may have been some of the worst moments of my life! I hated it! I was such a mess and I already miss everyone so much! I still don't think it's really hit me that I'm not coming home for 18 months, but that's okay I'm doing great now!
  • SHOWERS! The showers here are not great. They actually are a lot bigger than I expected but they are gross! I felt like I was gonna get some gross disease from the floor so I am so grateful I brought some shower shoes!
SPIRITUAL THOUGHT!
Okay so I talked about the amazing Character of Christ devotional! I wish everyone could be there because it is just so good! This was all about acquiring the character of Christ in ourselves and that the true character of Christ is to turn outwards! Christ is never self-centered, self-absorbed or selfish! Instead He is always looking for other people to serve and help! We also talked about how we are never alone! They said something that I LOVED! They said that many people think You + More = Christlike but we should change it to be You + Christ = MORE! This is so true! We can all become so much more when we turn to and rely on the help we can receive from Christ!

I hope you're all having a good week! Please reach out! I love hearing from you all!
